Peach is juicy, versatile summer fruit which protects the body against the harmful effect of diseases such as cancer. This fruit helps to maintain healthy skin care as it contains vitamin C which serves as a defensive protector against the harmful radicals and different types of infection. Peach is high in vitamin A as it helps to maintain healthy eyesight and prevent blindness disease.
2. Climate and soil
Peach fruit is grown in abundance when the temperature condition reaches zero degrees Fahrenheit. This fruit survives in the cold winter season when the temperature reaches about 45 degrees Fahrenheit for 600 to 900 hours during winter. This fruit grows best in less acidic soil with pH scale ranges from 6 to 6.5. Peach requires a good amount of sandy loam soil for its appropriate drainage system.

3. Land preparation
The land must be prepared by following the method of appropriate digging at the usage of 5 m x 5 m area. The plantations are done on the basis of usage of 20 kg of FYM, 125 gm of Urea as well as 25 ml of chlorpyrifos.
The varieties of peach which are available in the market can be categorized on the basis of timings of their yield process. The varieties are Shan e Punjab, Pratap, Prabhat and Florida Sun which are generally ripe during the first week of May. The other types of peach which are available are Florida red sun, Sharbati well as Florida Prince.
The sowing of the peach fruit starts in the first week of May and continues until the end of December and January. The seeds of the peach tree must be sown in beds which are 5 cm in depth with 12 to 16 cm apart from the two trees. The transplantation method is followed by sowing the seeds in case of the peach fruit.
6. Application of Manures and Fertilizers
The manures and fertilizer which are used for the proper growth are 5 kg of FYM, 200 gm of Urea, 250 gm of SSP and 150 gm of MOP when the plant is one years old. In addition, it requires 30 kg of FYM, 1200 gm of urea, 1250 gm of SSP and 500 gm of MOP when the plant is five years old.
The peaches are grown by digging a pit which possesses the dimension of 0.75 m x 0.75 m x 0.75 at about 5 m away from each other. The sufficient amount of FYM, urea as well as MOP is added for healthy growth of the peach tree.
The irrigation in case of peach tree is done immediately after the plantation of the tree takes place. The use of drip irrigation is the best method for enhancing the growth of peach. The peach trees are irrigated during the month of June and end in the month of August.

9. Plant protection Measures
The plants are protected using appropriate use of intercropping facilities which helps in the enhancement of the fruit during the time of irrigation as well as sowing.
Peach fruits are ready to be harvested during the month of April and May when hand harvesting can be done on following the process of twisting the fruits. This fruit are generally ready for the process of harvesting when they possess hard skin. The process of harvesting is essential for the full growth of the tree as the vitamins as well as the minerals are kept intact when the plants are properly protected.
