Walnut belongs to Juglandaceae that prefer one of the temperatures of nut fruits to some extent. Persian walnut is one of the important that grown nut in India. In some of the areas, there are walnuts grown at the sea level at 900 to 3000 meter better cultivation process. There are some of the commercial farming of walnut for cultivation such as Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh in different parts of the country. Now it has been expanding to Sikkim and Darjeeling which are quite popular as “Akhrot.” In other states, slow picking up commercial walnut farming are quite famous.
2. Climate and soil
Usually, walnuts grow well in a cool climate is quite suitable for the production process. Frost climate in spring may not suitable for growing walnut production. Hot summer is not preferable for cultivation process. It required rainfall of 800 mm that is suitable for optimum growth yield in managing the production process.
3. Land preparation
Land should be well prepared, and weeds should be cleared to some extent. Roots of previous cultivation should be removed, and land should be plowed four times to get tilth stage of the soil.

6. Application of manures and fertilizers
There are applying a small amount of P and K for about 100 grams and Nitrogen along with the dose of 100 gm. Therefore, it increasing 45-80 kg of P and 65-100 kg/Ha applied.
